Curriculum Vitae

I am currently a VIDI-laureate and an assistant professor at the Anton Pannekoek Institute of the University of Amsterdam. Previously I was an assistant professor at the Institute of Gravitational Wave Astronomy of the University of Birmingham. And before that I was a Veni-fellow based at the Anton Pannekoek Institute in Amsterdam hosted by Selma de Mink, and a postdoc at Leiden Observatory in the group of Simon Portegies Zwart. Population synthesis of Compact Objects Research Network (PopCORN)

The PopCORN project was an extensive collaboration between four groups focused on binary population synthesis (BPS) research. The goal of the project was to compare the respective BPS codes, and investigate where differences in the results originate from. We showed that when the same input assumptions are made, the codes find similar populations. The main differences between the simulated populations arise from deviating physical input, and are not due to numerical effects. For more information on the project, follow this link.
