I am professor emeritus of mathematics (analysis). My research interests are: Special functions, Harmonic analysis, Lie groups, Quantum groups, Computer algebra and their interrelations.

I was involved jointly with Roelof Koekoek (TU Delft), René Swarttouw (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Roderick Wong (City University of Hongkong) in writing the chapter on Orthogonal Polynomials.
