Course information
In the course we will cover chapters 8-12 of Griffiths,
Introduction to Electrodynamics (3rd Edition).
The week before each class,
required reading material (sections of Griffiths)
will be posted below together with a list of questions.
This material should be read before the class and you
should be able to answer all questions in the list.
The hoorcollege will start
with a 10-minute (closed book) quiz on the reading material. In the quiz
you will be asked to answer two of the questions in the list.
The weekly quiz will count for 10% of the final grade.
Homework will be given every week and a specified number of the
homework problems should be handed in before or at the beginning of
the next werkcollege. You should
hand in the homework to the teaching assistant of your group. Late
homework will not be accepted. The homework will count for 15% of the
final grade.
The final exam will count for 75% of the final grade. There will
be no midterm exam.
The retake exam will count for 100% of the final grade.

Information about the final exam
The final exam will be a closed book exam. The following list
of formulas will be provided: click here .
You can use these formulas without derivation (unless the problem
explicitly asks you to prove one of them). The exam will
contain both theory questions (you are
expected to be able to reproduce the derivations discussed in detail
in Griffiths) and exercises. A trial exam can be found here
