► These pages will give you some info on the research that we do at the Synthetic Organic Chemistry group.

We are part of the Van't Hoff Institute for Molecular Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. The Laboratory is located near the center of Amsterdam, alongside one of its famous canals. Head of the group is Prof. Dr. Henk Hiemstra, full professor in organic synthesis. One of the sub-groups is lead by associate professor, Dr. Jan van Maarseveen. Among the staff is also lecturing professor and physical chemist Dr. Steen Ingemann.

As a VENI laureate my position is that of an postdoc/assistant professor. 
In daily practice my work consists mainly of laboratory research as a senior postdoc. I am also involved in teaching, supervising and writing proposals.
