CrossGrid project

CrossGrid is a pan european Grid project in which our group has participated from the very beginning until it's successful completetion. Within projects work package 1 (WP1) our group has developed a Grid based vascular reconstruction environment, a prototype of a biomedical application which offers it's user with sufficient set of tools to pre-simulate an operation on blood vessels starting from a MRI or CT scan of patient and hopefully finishing with a proper configuration for a real surgical invasion.

For the project I designed and built PSS, the desktop virtual reality system, developed a VR front-end application that runs on it serving whole system visualization and interaction and did some studies on system overall architecturei together with Alfredo Tirado Ramos and Herbert Rosmanith.
