All lab assignments should be done in groups of two students. The assigments reports should be send by email to machine-perception@science.uva.nl. The reports (MS Word or a postscript file or a pdf file) should be zipped in order not to flood our mailbox. The date and time of arrival in our mailbox determines whether the assignment was delivered on time. Use of Matlab is an important part of the lab assignments. Matlab 6.1 is available on all computers in Euclides (PC and Sun). For Solaris (Sun) machine you have to add matlab-edu-121 to your .pkgrc file. Then login again and you should be able to use matlab. For Unix it is advisable to start Matlab with the command "matlab -nodesktop". The command line interface is then in your terminal window. Not as fancy as the Java interface but much more stable. Below you find a table with the available lab exercises. For each of the lab exercises you must write a small report containing:
