I am a theoretical physicist, interested in the Big Bang, what happened shortly thereafter and what is the most suitable way to describe it in the language of Mathematics. So I study String Theory and models of the early universe that are derived from it. You find details of my work here. To my great disapointment, I do not believe that String Theory is going to help the manned spaceflight program in the near future.
I am currently a PhD student in the string theory group at the University of Amsterdam. My superviors are Erik Verlinde, Koenraad Schalm and Jan Pieter van der Schaar.
