Salient points detection using wavelet transform

Here you can apply the wavelet-based point detector.

Enter the URL of the image to be processed (e.g. http://telesun.insa-lyon.fr/~telesun/Img/tulip.gif )
or select a file on your local disk using the Browse^* button.

Warning : in the file search window, you first only see the HTML files. To select an image file, please set the file type to All Files.
The available image formats are described here.

Select the salient point detector to use. Our process is available with Haar or Daubechies4 wavelets. You can compare them with the Harris corner detector. Other detectors are available here.

Set the number of points you want to obtain :
If you don't want points on the border you can specify the size of the border without points (in number of pixels) :

Warning: The process and file format conversions performed by this system can be rather time consuming... It might take a couple minutes for the result to be returned.

^*Browse button : upload of local files is available with browsers Netscape (2.0 and more) and Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or version 3.02 with File Upload Add-On ).
