Simon Samwel Msanjila 

 

 

Ir. Simon Samwel Msanjila has graduated BSc. in Computer Science in 2001 from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and MSc. in Systems Engineering in 2004 from Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. In September 2004, he started his PhD research at the Computer Science department of the University of Amsterdam specializing on trust management for collaborative networked organizations. He completed his PhD in September 2009.

Between September 2004 to June 2008 he was involved in the European  project called ECOLEAD which focused on collaborative networks . Since February 2008, he is involved in a European project called ePAL (www.epal.eu.com) which is focused on extending professional life of elder people.

Ir. Msanjila has achieved a number of publications as journal articles, book chapters, and peer reviewed conferences papers in areas of trust management for collaborative networked organizations, web-services, and modeling and simulation of web-service based business processes.

He conducts his research work at UvA in a Collaborative Networks (ColNet) group, which is a sub-group of Human Computer Studies (HCS).
