The ICoS workshops aim to bring together researchers from areas such as Computational Linguistics, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, and Logics, in order to discuss approaches and applications of inference in natural language semantics.
The following ICoS workshops have taken place or are planned
- ICoS-1 took place in Amsterdam on August 15, 1999. There were over 50 participants, and the event was organized by Christof Monz and Maarten de Rijke.
- ICoS-2 took place in Schloss Dagstuhl, July 29-30, 2000. There were approximately 30 participants, and the event was organized by Johan Bos and Michael Kohlhase.
- ICoS-3 was held during IJCAR-01, in Siena, June 2001, with Patrick Blackburn and Michael Kohlhase as chairs of the program committee.
- ICoS-4 was held in Nancy, France, on 25-26 September 2003; it was part of a special Nancy Inference Week. Chairs: Patrick Blackburn and Johan Bos.
- ICoS-5 will be held in Buxton, UK (between Manchester and Leeds), in 2006. Chairs: Johan Bos and Alexander Koller. Follow this link to get to the workshop home page.
