My area of research are the principles of Generic AAA (Authentication, Authorization and Accounding) as described in RFC's 2903, RFC 2904 and GFD 38.
The goal of the research is to investigate mechanisms that will allow distributed authorization decision taking involving multiple autonomous administrative domains. Grids, Optical Networks and Distributed Collaborative Environments are example application areas of Generic AAA.
One area of special interest is the use of the concept of tokens to authorize (optical-) network resources and specific programmed network behavior using the concept of User Programmable Virtualized Networks.
I am currenlty doing a master course on Enterprise Architecture at the Radboud University of Nijmegen.
