The inverse of a vector

The inverse of a vector x is the vector which gives 1 when multiplied by x (using the geometric product). It may be obtained by inversion relative to the unit circle.

Please enable Java for an interactive construction (with Cinderella).

Drag the end point of the vector to get a feeling for the inverse.

See also the applet on the inverse of a bivector.
