The group consists of 1 postdocs and 3 PhD students. We develop and study new methods for real-world information processing systems, such as robots, smart houses, surveillance systems or interaction devices.
Currently the following projects are running:
-
CARE (Context Awareness in Residences for Elderly)
A TNO-UvA funded project on algorithms for processing data from sensor networks installed in elderly homes to recognize the bahaviours.
-
Visispeech(Multimodal fusion for speaker detection)
A MultimediaN funded project on algorithms for fusion of audio and video streams for speaker detection, diarization and human-computer interaction .
-
COGNIRON
A European 6th framework project in which we collaborate with European laboratories on the development of a cognitive robot assistant.
-
Distributed surveillance systems.
A project funded by STW in which we have developed efficient and robust methods to track humans in an environment equipped with many non-overlapping camera's.
