Symmetry Group $O(2,2)$

In section 3.4 we reduced a $D$-dimensional low energy string effective action to $D-d$ dimensions. Naturally this also applies to three dimensions, so we can directly reduce the five-dimensional effective action to three dimensions. In that case $d=2$, so we expect an action with global $O(d,d)$ symmetry.
