Below is the time-table for RoboCup-2005:
- September, 10 2004: Start of discussion
- October, 10: End of discussion
- October, 11: Start of decision making by the technical committee
- November, 1: Fixing the decisions made by technical committee
- November, 30: Fixing the final rules
- January 15, 2005: Pre-registration Deadline
- February 10: Qualification Material Deadline
- February 24: Notification of Qualification
- July 11-12: Set-up
- July 13-17, RoboCup competition
- July 18-19: RoboCup-2005 Symposium
Note that the organisation will only provide computer for running the
league games. So no computers are available to work on in order to change
your team / coach. Please bring your own laptops for this. A network is
available where you can plug your laptop in. If you have any, please
bring your own hubs.
Please make sure to test your team during the setups days (July 11-12th).
All machines will run a Gentoo Linux Distribution on a Xeon 3.4GHz /
1MB cache machine. For more information about the configuration,
see this document.
Preliminary Schedule Soccer Simulation League
We will use the following schedule per day:
9:00 Building opens
10:00 Binary uploads allowed until
10:00-19:00 Competition
21:00 Building closes
The competition format will be as follows:
- 2D
- First round: 4 groups A,B,C,D of four teams, four go to next round
- Second round: 2 groups of 8: A1,B1,C2,D2,A3,B3,C4,D4 and A2,B2,C1,D1,A4,B4,C3,D3
- Final round: place 15/16, 13/14, 11/12, 9/10, 7/8, 5/6, 2 semi-finals, 3/4
- Final: place 1/2
- 3D
- Note: It will be mandatory for every team to test their binaries *before* the
first day of the competition. If a team's binary cannot be started within 5 minutes
of the scheduled time, this will lead to disqualification, unless there are obvious
problems with the server !
- Preliminary round: 8 groups of 4 -- top 3 advance to the next round
A0, B0, C0, D0, E0, F0, G0, H0
each team plays twice against every other team
- First round: 4 groups of 6 -- top 4 advance to the next round
A1: 1A0, 1B0, 2C0, 2D0, 3E0, 3F0
B1: 1C0, 1D0, 2E0, 2F0, 3G0, 3H0
C1: 1E0, 1F0, 2G0, 2H0, 3A0, 3B0
D1: 1G0, 1H0, 2A0, 2B0, 3C0, 3D0
each team plays once against every other team
- Second round: 4 groups of 4 -- top 2 teams advance to the next round
A2: 1A1, 2B1, 3C1, 4D1
B2: 1B1, 2C1, 3D1, 4A1
C2: 1C1, 2D1, 3A1, 4B1
D2: 1D1, 2A1, 3B1, 4C1
each team plays once against every other team
- Third round: 2 groups of 4
A3: 1A2, 2B2, 1C2, 2D2

each team plays twice against every other team
- Final round: place 8/7, 6/5, 2 semi-finals, 3/4

- 1 presentation day (16th): 6 teams, max. 15 min presentation time (+ 5 min for setup)
