Me at the summit of the Iztaccihuatl (5286 m) in Mexico.
I was born in Guatemala, a country between Mexico, Belize, El Salvador and Hoduras.
My country has a lot of volcanos (many of them active), mayan archaeological sites, many beautiful lakes, forests, highlands and fantastic landscapes. At this moment I am a Ph.D. student at the API in the University of Amsterdam, where I am working with the Pulsar Radio Group, looking for new pulsars and RRATs (Rotating RAdio Transcients) in our Galaxy and in nearby galaxies.
I did a Masters in Astronomy at the Institute of Astronomy at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico where I lived for more than 3 years. I did study my undergraduate degree in physics at the San Carlos National University of Guatemala. My interest in astronomy did begin many (!)
years ago.
