Abstract
This introduction presents an outline of how qualitative models
can be used for interactive learning environments. The first
section discusses in the kind of learning that the contributions
in this special issue are concerned with. The second section
elaborates on typical characteristics of qualitative models.
The third section presents a range of research topics that
are interesting to pursue with respect to using qualitative
models in interactive learning environments. This section is
followed by a short overview of the contributions in this
special issue.
