Random Background Script

This script randomly choses a different background for your home page everytime the page is loaded. To use it on your homepage, your web-server has to run under a unix-based system. The rest is pretty ease: All you gotta to is to call the script at the beginning of your page to write out the body tag, which sets the default colors and the background image. To do so, you replace your current body tag by the following line:

To download the Random Background Choser, click here, save the tar file into your web directory and use your unix shell to change to that directory and type the following line to extract the cgi script with the needed read and execution permissions:

tar -xovf randback.tar background.cgi

Before using the script, you will have to edit it and replace the list of the image files it choses from with your own background files.
