I am a mathematician and a logician. I was trained as a mathematician in Italy (Catania), and as a logician in Amsterdam (Master of Logic, ILLC) and Barcelona (PhD in 2005, UB). Currently I am working as a Universitair Docent at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation at the Universiteit van Amsterdam. My research interests include Abstract Algebraic Logic, coalgebras, coalgebraic proof theory, canonical extensions, duality, canonicity and correspondence, lattice-based quantified modal and substructural logics. I hold a NWO VENI grant for the project Dualities for quantales: a spatial understanding of noncommutative topologies.
