In this project, we will
touch (some of) the issues/problems in embedded systems design,
hardware design by means of VHDL, and reconfigurable
computing/architectures (FPGAs). We are grateful to Xilinx Inc., FNWI's
CSA group, and FNWI's Educational Institute from whom we got a donation
of FPGA
prototype (Spartan-3) boards and design software tools.

- In several steps, we will build an elevator controller and a
visualization (directly controlling VGA output via the FPGA) of the
elevator system. For a possible end result, see the below movie.
