eMotion Software Now Integrates with Second Life
Using the software tool eMotion / Second Life linker you can now animate the facial expression of your SL avatar in real-time! This new tool allows users running the eMotion software to map their facial expressions to their avatar's facial animations. You need to buy the eMotion software, you can do that here.
Requirements
- Java 1.4 or later versions.
- Ensure your firewall is not blocking the eMotion software nor the Second Life linker.
Note: Java WebStart is included in the Java 1.4 release and later versions.
How to use the eMotion / Second Life linker
- Install second life and login.
- Run the linker by clicking this link.
- Register a username and password if you have not done so yet.
- The server should respond providing your registration was succesful.
- In the first tab, provide your username and password, then press the "Retrieve SL script" button. This will copy in your clipboard the script needed in the next step.
- Create an object in Second Life.
- Start the eMotion software
- Enter your username and password and click CONNECT in the linker.
